For the last quote of the week, I bring you: “Look like the innocent flower, but be the serpent under it.” — William Shakespeare, Macbeth

My deepest apologies for being late again today. If I am ever to do another challenge, I shall endeavor to schedule it at least 3 days in advance, rather than one.liter

Today’s quote is: “Everybody will die, but very few people want to be reminded of that fact.” ― Lemony Snicket, The Austere Academy

Sorry I’m late today, but it’s okay: I’ve got a good one.

“He felt that the darkness was full of unimaginable horrors – and the trouble with unimaginable horrors was that they were only too easy to imagine…” ― Terry Pratchett, The Light Fantastic

Hopefully finding these quotes doesn’t turn out to be more fun than translating them. Oh well, today, I bring you: “If you tell the truth you do not need a good memory!” – Mark Twain, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn

As with yesterday, I’ll have to come back to this to do my own translation in a comment.

Woops, I went out of town and forgot about this challenge. So today I figured I’d do two quotes and call it even. We should be returning to the proper schedule after today though.

“Let us learn to show our friendship for a man when he is alive and not after he is dead.” – F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby

“People generally see what they look for, and hear what they listen for.” – Harper Lee, To Kill a Mockingbird

It’s already rather late here as I’m writing this, so I’ll have to come back and do my own translations later.
